Special Needs Coaching

As family are the most significant influence on a child’s development; I work with families to implement changes that have positive results for their situation. My philosophy is based on co-creating positive interventions with families.

  • Working individually with families and valuing their unique situations and needs
  • Identifying current needs with clients and setting goals for targeted behaviour strategies. Reviewing, refining and expanding these for improved outcomes.
  • Goal setting for future hopes and dreams for your child
  • Coaching for Supported Learning Standards to gain NCEA credits
Online service or by phone NZ-wide, online or in person Hawkes Bay.

Disability Advocacy

Advocating for yourself can be exhausting, overwhelming or even seem impossible. I am available to advocate for you to access supports and services and/or attend those difficult meetings with you about your child’s needs.

  • Giving guidance and references to access services and supports in the community.
  • Attending Professional meetings to support and advocate for family’s and their child’s needs.
  • I come alongside families as an impartial support professional with only your best interests in mind.

1:1 Support

Everyone needs a break sometimes and when you have a child with extra needs this is especially true. Finding the right person can seem impossible and trusting them even harder. Read about my training and experience and my client reviews to see whether my service is right for you.

  • 1:1 Respite care: a limited number of spaces available
  • 1:1 support with an emphasis on shared fun, accessing community activities and life skills learning in real situations.

Neuro-diverse resources

Workshops: Live online “Welcoming Neuro-diverse Learners” workshop for groups.

Resources: There are so many great organisations and resources that it can be overwhelming for families to know where to start or who to approach next. Some key organisations in NZ are listed here, but ideally as each child is different, resources can be provided to match each unique situation.
